I ordered a grilled chicken that was on sale, the chicken was dry, the fries were reheated and the post said they came with special sauces, mayonnaise and all they gave was that, honestly a bad experience.
This is our second time here (we went a few months ago, and again for Father's Day), and the food is the best! I love Reku Teku. I liked the waiter. I think adding another one would make it more efficient, but they are very kind and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant. Authentic Peruvian flavor.
I read the reviews but decided to give it a shot. Look, honestly, it's a far cry from the flavor of Peruvian food. We ordered roast chicken with potatoes and rice. The potatoes were swimming in oil, the rice was also soaked in grease, and the chicken tasted stale. Result: vomiting and diarrhea that night and a wasted day of travel. Besides Beto's service, nothing else is good. There's also the absurd 20% card charge. Warning to the owner: there's no point in giving a rude answer, because it's the absolute truth. I'm helping other travelers. I even took photos of the menu so I could share it if it was good. Conclusions: bad, expensive, extortionate. Stay away. (June 2025)
The restaurant's facilities are very nice, with thoughtful decor that creates a pleasant atmosphere for enjoying a meal. The service was excellent: the staff was friendly, attentive, and very cordial throughout our visit.nnHowever, the food didn't quite meet our expectations. While the portions were generous, the flavors didn't stand out as we expected from a Peruvian restaurant. It was also a shame that they didn't offer typical Peruvian drinks, which would have given the experience a more authentic touch.nnA good choice if you're looking for a comfortable place with good service, but there's room for improvement in the gastronomic offering.
I would give it a 0 for service, honestly. The customer service is terrible. You're eating and they keep clearing away your plates, glasses, etc. We were the only ones there and it took a while for them to bring us the food, but they bring the bill right away without you even having to ask. The only redeeming feature is the ambiance of the place.
When you arrive, there's no one there, the cook and the waiter are sprawled across the counter, and no one welcomes you.nThey take our order. My boyfriend and I were missing cutlery and plates, so we had to go grab them from another table because they never brought us everything. And don't think it's because there were so many people; it was just us, some friends, the waiter, and the cook, no one else.nThe chicken was raw and cold, the fries were drenched in oil, and the fried rice was ginger-flavored rice. You ask for a salt shaker, and it was more like rice (to keep it from getting soggy) than salt.nThen the waiter comes and wants to take away our soda bottles, with the drink still in them.nHe asks us to clear everything away. And he brings us the check without us even asking. It wasn't late, about 8:50 p.m., and we were the only ones, why does he have to rush us so much? Regarding the bill, what happened was very strange. We had ordered two chickens, one beer, and three Cokes, and when he gave us the receipt, it showed one chicken and one beer, and the waiter told us that's not the amount we have to pay. It's so... (WEIRD). Obviously, we asked him to bring the correct receipt.nDON'T GO. SAVE YOURSELVES THE BAD MOMENT.nThe only thing I appreciate is the very nice decor of the place.
